Who is Reece (Reecie) Downes?

Reecie is an 12 year old schoolboy from sheffield who has a dream of becoming a professional Speedway rider. Reecie started riding in his grandads garden at the age of 4. He moved on to the training track at Sheffield when he was 5, and then on to the full size track at Scunthorpe when the training facility at Sheffield closed. Reece is currently 2nd in the British under 16 250cc British Speedway Championship

As you can see from the banner above Reecie is now the proud mascot of Scunthorpe Scorpions and is a full on junior speedway rider...No brakes, no gears, no fear!
